Dr. Jes Sloan, MD

Dr. Jes Sloan is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Charlotte. When she was younger, she wanted to be a Forest Ranger. She went to Appalachian State University, majored in Environmental Biology, and decided she wanted to become a research scientist in Evolutionary Biology. After a year in a PhD program in Austin, TX, however, she came to the conclusion that she missed human interaction. After two years teaching high school in Wilmington, NC, she decided she wanted to become a doctor. This one stuck.

Dr. Sloan graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 2008 and completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Duke/SRAHEC in Fayetteville in 2011. She has been practicing medicine in Cumberland and Harnett counties ever since.

Dr. Sloan is a Board-Certified Family Physician and prides herself on compassionate and comprehensive healthcare. She loves caring for the whole family. "It is a joy to have a family visit my office all together for the baby's weight check, the 10yo's ADHD visit, the parent’s anxiety, and the grandma's knee pain."

Dr. Sloan enjoys singing, attending church at Trinity Lutheran in Sanford, helping lead the PTO at her kids' school (shout out to Carolina Charter Academy in Angier!), loving her children, and relaxing in the outdoors. She has three children and her husband, Dr. Don Sloan, is a family dentist in Broadway.
